At present, The total capacity of pumped storage power plants in State Grid Xinyuan Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SG Xinyuan) is 40820MW (among which, 19070MW is under operation, and 21750MW is under construction), taking 77% of the total in China, and has developed into the largest company specialized in pumped storage power plants construction and operation in the world.
SG Xinyuan has been striving on the study of pumped storage development theory, and promoting studies on the prospective and key field technology. SG Xinyuan has formulated 64 technology standards on the level of the nation, industrial and State Grid Corporation of China, and has obtained more than 500 patents on PSP plants construction and operation technology.
